A child or young person has SEND if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for reasonable adjustments to be made for them to ensure they are able to access school and the curriculum.
For some children, SEND can be identified at an early age. However, for other children additional needs become evident only as they develop. We are alert to emerging needs and respond early. We listen, value and understand when parents and carers express concerns about their child’s development. We also listen to and address any concerns raised by children themselves.
